Brooks Unisex T7 Racer Running Shoe Review
Brooks Unisex T7 Racer Running Shoe Feature
- Rearfoot Hydroflow ST for great cushioning
You'll be a blur of speed in this eye-catching road racing flat from Brooks. Constructed in mesh and synthetic, the T7 Racer offers minimal support for a super lightweight feel, and the asymmetrical lace-up vamp wraps the arch for more support and less fatigue. What's more, a grippy outsole dispenses maximum grip.
In honor of Chrissie Wellington's return to Kona in 2011, we created a custom T7 Racer -- and you can order a pair for yourself. These super-fast Wellingtons feature loops on the tongue and heel for easy transition from bike to run, a British flag on the heel counter, a sockliner with a special message for Chrissie, and "War on ALS" inscribed in the heel area. Best of all, all proceeds from the sale of these limited-edition shoes will go to the Blazeman Foundation for ALS, a charity close to Chrissie's heart. Only 200 pairs are available, and when they're gone, they're gone. If we are out of your size on the NightLife Yellow / White / Black Wellington edition, check out our standard Tango Red / Cool Grey / White edition. Had your heart set on the NightLife? We'll have standard versions of them in February, 2012. Chrissie calls the T7 "an amazing shoe!" She was rocking a pair when she smashed the world record at the Ford Ironman Arizona in November. Hansons-Brooks athlete Desiree Davila also races in the T7 and wore it during this year's Boston marathon as she became the third fastest U.S. female marathoner ever. This incredibly light road-racing shoe is the fastest in the pack, with a new eye-catching upper for fly-by style. The streamlined, asymmetric upper works with the anatomy of the foot to perfectly wrap the arch securely from start to finish. Available in men's sizes only. For women we suggest ordering 1.5 sizes smaller than what you usually wear. If you're curious, Chrissie wears a 10, and Desi wears a 5.5. Note: As this shoe is a very lightweight, minimal support racing flat, the vast majority of runners will not find it "enough shoe" for a full marathon. If you have a light frame and a biomechanically efficient stride, however, you may be able to get away with it. We suggest you work up to it in several half marathon-plus races beforehand to see how it works for you before running in it for a full marathon.Category: Competition Weight: 6.4 oz Platform:...
